What time do we need to land to reach Sugar Beach before dark?
Work back from sunset rather than from your landing slot. Sunset at Sipalay runs from about 5:25 PM in November to about 6:15 PM in June, so plan around 5:30 PM for most of the year. Against that you need 4 to 5 hours of road, plus any meal stop, plus clearing a domestic arrival and loading the bags - which puts the last comfortable landing at DGT around 11 AM, and earlier in the November-to-January stretch when the sun goes soonest. That is a tighter ask than the same trip from Bacolod airport, which is 3 to 4.5 hours, so if your dates allow either, Bacolod is the easier side for a Sugar Beach arrival. A later landing still gets you there, but the Nauhang boat crossing happens in the dark: arrange the boat with your resort in advance if so, or consider a night in Dumaguete and an early start.
Can you do the return trip, Sipalay back to Sibulan Airport (DGT)?
