Danjugan Island marine reserve
Danjugan is the wildest place we send people, and the one they talk about longest: a small, protected marine and wildlife reserve off Bulata in Cauayan, on the south-west coast of Negros Occidental.
Run as a conservation area, it is a rare, low-impact world of lagoons, limestone forest, roosting bats, birdlife and healthy reef - visited on arranged day trips and simple eco-stays rather than as a resort.
You reach it by driving to the Bulata jump-off, about 2.5 to 3.5 hours south of Bacolod or a short 30 to 45 minutes from Sipalay, then a brief boat across to the island.
Access, guiding and any overnight are arranged through the reserve, so it works best when the road leg is timed to a booked visit. We handle the private transfer to Bulata so you arrive relaxed and ready for the boat.
How to get to Danjugan Island

- Bulata → Danjugan boat~15-20 min
A short boat crosses from Bulata to the island. Access, guiding and any overnight are arranged and paid through the reserve, outside our quote.
- Ceres bus to Cauayan (public)~3-4 hrs from Bacolod
A southbound Ceres bus reaches Cauayan and Bulata, then the reserve boat. Cheapest, but a long day with transfers and fixed timetables.
