Siquijor island day trip
Siquijor still feels a little enchanted to us: the small, mystical island a short hop across the water from Dumaguete, all turquoise waterfall pools, old coral-stone churches and white-sand coves.
It is one of the easiest day trips in the region. Fast-craft ferries cross from Dumaguete port to Siquijor in around 40 to 60 minutes, several times a day, so you can leave in the morning and be back by evening with a full island loop in between.
The classic circuit takes in the turquoise tiers and rope swings of Cambugahay Falls, the centuries-old giant balete tree with its fish-nibble foot pool, and the white-sand coves at Salagdoong and Paliton.
Siquijor is a separate island province, so on-island transport is arranged there; from the Dumaguete side we handle the pier transfer and the timing so you make a sensible boat.
