The Manjuyod sandbar off Bais, the lunch stop on the dolphin watching day tour
Private day tour · Full day, roughly 8-10 hours door to door

How do I do the Bais dolphin watching day tour from Dumaguete?

Wild dolphins on the Tañon Strait, then lunch on the Manjuyod sandbar. A full, easy day.

Short answer

The Bais day tour combines wild dolphin watching on the Tañon Strait with a swim and lunch on the long white Manjuyod sandbar. Bais City is about 45 km north of Dumaguete, an hour to an hour and a half by road, and the boats leave from the Bais wharf in the morning when the dolphins are most active and the sea is calmest.

We arrange the private car and driver for the day as a fixed-price quote, timed to an early boat. The dolphin-watching boat and any sandbar cottage are arranged and paid at the Bais wharf, so those sit outside our quote, and the driver waits through your trip.

Bais dolphin watching day tour: FAQs

How long is the Bais day tour?

Roughly 8 to 10 hours door to door: about an hour to an hour and a half each way by road, plus the morning boat for the dolphins and the Manjuyod sandbar. An early start gives the best sightings and calmest water.

What does the quote cover, and what do I pay at Bais?

Our quote covers the private car and driver for the day. The dolphin-watching boat and any Manjuyod sandbar cottage are arranged and paid at the Bais wharf, so those are separate.

Will we definitely see dolphins?

The dolphins are wild, so sightings are common but never guaranteed. Going early gives the best chance, and the Manjuyod sandbar makes the day worthwhile either way.

Landed at Dumaguete and our driver was right there with a sign. Easy run down to Dauin and the price was exactly as quoted. So much calmer than sorting a ride at the airport.
