How do I get from Sibulan port to Dauin?

About 22 km: roughly 7 km south from the pier into Dumaguete, then about 15 km on down the coast road past Bacong. By private car that is usually 35 to 45 minutes, with traffic through Dumaguete city the variable part.

Not as a stop. The road from the pier to Dauin runs through Dumaguete, so you pass through the city, but a private car goes straight from the pier gate to your resort in one run. Only the bus route makes you change at the Dumaguete terminal.

Bato to Tampi is the natural crossing from there, and most people take it: it is the pier the west-coast road reaches, and Tampi lands a little further north on the same coast. But it is worth knowing the two Cebu piers are only about a 10-minute tricycle ride apart, so landing at Sibulan instead is not the backtrack it looks like on a map. For Dauin it is a genuine question, because Sibulan is about 22 km from the dive coast and Tampi about 30 km, since the road from Tampi runs through Dumaguete first. Take Bato if its sailing suits you, and hop round to Liloan if the next boat there is hours earlier. Yes, on top of your dive package and separate from the ferry ticket and the car. The Dauin sanctuaries are protected areas with a municipal user fee for diving or snorkelling, charged per dive rather than once for your stay, and it is usually not inside the price your dive shop quotes: it is settled in cash at the dive centre. Snorkellers are liable on the same basis, with a staffed collection hut on the shore at Masaplod Norte, though collection is patchier than for divers. Ask your resort for the current per-dive figure, since the rates vary between the sanctuaries and the amounts published do not agree.

Usually yes. There is no minimum notice on this route and no cut-off hour, so a request for tomorrow, or for later today, is worth sending rather than writing off. What settles it is whether a vetted driver is free for the time you need, and you will have the answer and the price by email the same day, usually within a few hours. An early start is routine here rather than a complication. The part that gets harder with less notice is choice - holding a particular vehicle size or an exact pickup hour - not whether the journey can happen, so send the date and, if the timing is tight, the hour you need to be moving.
